Privacy Policy

MBG Pearl Wallet (browser extension) — Last updated: 5 June 2026

The short version: MBG Pearl Wallet is non-custodial. Your seed phrase and private keys are generated on your device, encrypted, and stored only on your device. We never receive them, we cannot access your funds, and we do not collect, sell, or share personal data. There are no analytics, trackers, or ads.

1. Who we are

MBG Pearl Wallet is a self-custody wallet extension for the Pearl chain ($PRL), built for the mbgpearlscription marketplace. "We", "us" and "the wallet" refer to the developer of this extension.

2. What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, email, IP-based identity, or any personally identifiable information.
We do not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, fingerprinting, or third-party trackers.
We do not transmit, back up, or have any access to your seed phrase or private keys.
We do not sell or transfer any user data to third parties.

3. Your keys & secrets (stored locally only)

Your seed phrase and private keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password via PBKDF2 (210,000 iterations), and saved in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own machine. The encrypted vault never leaves your device. The wallet auto-locks after inactivity. If you lose your password and seed phrase, no one — including us — can recover your funds.

4. Data processed to make the wallet work

To show balances and let you transact, the extension sends the following to the Pearl blockchain infrastructure listed below. This is the standard, minimum interaction any blockchain wallet needs — it is transient, not used for profiling, and not stored by us for any other purpose:

Your public wallet address — to read balances, tokens, NFTs, and transaction history.
Signed transactions you explicitly approve — to broadcast them to the network.
Public chain/price queries — e.g. the current PRL/USD reference price.

These requests go to our own Pearl node and indexer, with automatic failover:

A public blockchain address and on-chain transactions are inherently public on the Pearl ledger.

5. Connecting to websites (dApps)

The wallet can connect to mbgpearlscription.com so the site can request your public address and ask you to sign messages or transactions. Every connection and signature requires your explicit, in-wallet approval. Websites never see your password, seed phrase, or private keys.

6. Permissions we request & why

storage — to save your encrypted wallet vault and settings locally on your device.
Host access to the RPC/indexer domains above — to fetch balances and broadcast the transactions you approve.

The extension contains no remote code; all logic is bundled in the package and reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.

7. Data sharing & sale

We do not sell, rent, or share user data. We do not use or transfer data for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. The only network calls are the functional blockchain requests described in section 4.

8. Children

MBG Pearl Wallet is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the wallet evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
